All of the above are carried out from our 20 acre Nursery premises on the outskirts of historic Oulart village in the heart of rural County Wexford, Ireland.
Hyland's History
The origins of Hyland's Nursery can be traced back to 1945, when Elizabeth Hyland (nee Cooney) inherited the land, that the Nursery is currently situated on, from her Brother John Cooney.
In 1986 their Son Joe and his wife Kathleen O'Reilly-Hyland, opened a Garden Center to cater for the growing interest in gardening throughout Ireland at the time.
In 1991 their Son; John Joe, joined them in the family business, having completed a three year Horticulture Diploma, at Kildalton College, Pilltown, Co. Kilkenny. John Joe's training and expertise have helped develop the business, into a thriving Nursery, growing Hedging and Trees, as well as many other plant and shrub varieties, for sale and supply to individuals and contractors throughout Ireland.
John Joe Hyland - Owner and General Manager
John Joe joined the family business in 1991. As Hyland's Nursery has developed under John Joe and his Wife Aisling's stewardship, they found an ever increasing demand from their customers for design and planting work, which has led John Joe to establish and develop Hyland Landscaping Services over the past 15 years to facilitate his customers needs.
John Joe and Aisling's children; although still very young, are already showing signs of continuing on the Hyland Gardening and Nursery traditions established by their Great Grandparents; Elizabeth and William, over 60 years ago.
