"Testimonials"

"As a past community employment participant of ASESP I have gained valuable training and hands on experience in the pre-school and after schools programmes.
It was only after I left ASESP and went on to other childcare jobs that I realised that ASESP's set up of sessions from pre-school and after schools is second to none.
ASESP has taught me how to observe and document a child's development, plan and implement weekly programmes and to raise any issues or concerns at weekly feedback meetings.
Unfortunately, this is not standard procedures in other childcare settings I have worked in.

Thank you ASESP."

"Training Provided"

"I had the privilege of working with and alongside ASESP for 3years. Within the 3years I got the opportunity to complete my Level 5 Fetac in Youth Work which helped me develop skills to link to my work. This then gave me the opportunity to further develop my skills as a youth worker.
The ASESP supported me with applying to college and financial support throughout the course. Now after 3years of studying with NUI Maynooth, I am the proud owner of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Community and Youth Work.

I feel that the ASESP have been a major factor of me being in the position I am today."

"The Service and My Children"

"My two sons attend the After Schools Education & Support Programme every day. One attends the Teen Peer programme and the youngest attends Busy Beez. I am really happy with the service ASESP provides and find it great value for money. ASESP also allows my children to grow and develop as individuals through the experiences which ASESP have given to them throughout the last few years. I can honestly say I’d be lost without ASESP as it also allows me to work on a part-time basis."

"Parent"

"I’m a parent of a four year old boy who had been attending the community project ASESP.
Ryan was part of the SMALLIES group which is the preschool and at the start I was very nervous about him starting as I had previously had him in a different crèche and he wouldn’t settle.
When he started SMALLIES I could tell straight away he would settle a lot better.
The staff of the ASESP are so hands on and the time they have for the children is amazing.
They made Ryan feel so welcome and the gentle and calming attitude of the staff and atmosphere in the crèche made me feel so comfortable leaving Ryan in the mornings.
He settled in straight away as he recognised some of the faces of the children and staff. I think it’s great that this project is community run and a lot of the staff is from the area so you know them and can trust them to look after your children."
