Cork is located in the South Western corner of Ireland and is the largest county in the country.  Cork is bordered by Kerry to the west, Waterford to the east and by counties Tipperary and Limerick to the north. North Cork is a mix of rolling green hills and mountains but also has some of Ireland's richest pastures in the Golden Vale.  East Cork is a region renowned for its beautiful beaches and historical towns such as Youghal, (Moby Dick fame) and Cobh, (embarkation point for some 2.3 million people during the great famine and the final departure port of the Titanic).

To the south and west of the county the region known as West Cork , boasts a wild and rugged coastline of rocky headlands, great bays and secret coves.  West Cork has become a popular destination for visitors who wish to enjoy a slower pace of life around small, rural fishing villages and towns, amid some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in Ireland. West Cork is a hugely popular sailing destination boasting picturesque coastal villages such as Baltimore, Schull and the historic Kinsale, renowned as the culinary capital of Ireland.
